licensing in place to protect it. In my opinion this would be a very foolish
thing for Inprise to do.
There are no buyers in the wings. A whole new company is being established
to take over InterBase. Once this is all in place and the license is truly
open source then there is no company on earth, Microsoft, Oracle or the
like, that can take something away that has been rightfully licensed to the
public.
True after a year or two they could decide to again proceed with a closed
source version of InterBase but the opened versions will always remain
opened.
It's gonna happen. Let's at least give them until after the conference to
start running them through the ringer for missing a deadline.
