I don't know whether IB has been registered in my country, but given the
very low profile of the local representatives, I'm not sure they did such
move.

Well, now to be sure: does it affect the use of the words INTERBASE and IB
in my free tech site?

Ok, that was another doubt, but seems that BorPrise added another
requirement: «All advertising materials mentioning features or use of the
covered Code must display the following acknowledgement: "This product
includes software developed by Inprise Corporation."

In this context, using the Powered by IB logo does qualify as advertising
material?

Sorry for being reiterative, but legal issues are really thorny.
Maybe I should use the phoenix logo instead?
