I don't really understand what you mean by "beta distros" and can't find
something about it in the manual about it.
Anyway, the way I connect: I execute "/opt/interbase/bin/ibmgr -start", just
like is put in the rc.local (I hope this is what you mean ?).
Resume: I installed Interbase Superserver: linuxsuperserver_li-v6.0.tar on
RedHat 7.0. I updated glibc, added user/group interbase, added interbase to
the rc.local. I didn't installed libncurses.so.3 (the installation is
described on: http://www.interbase2000.com/doc_zamana.htm).
How do I find out what's going wrong ?
