Hi:

If by W2KInstaller you mean the MSInstaller, it is screwed up. I am in
a problem resolution with MS right now over the installer that came with
Pub2000 overwriting an NT dll with a trucated version that doesn't
export all the functions. It has caused problems in other programs not
finding entry point. The dll overwritten is supplied in the original NT
and in the SP's. This was 429k and has a date of 3/18/1999 time 12:00
am. The one with the pub install is 285k with a date of 3/18/1999 time
9:09 p.m.

Another nice thing about the MSInstaller: MS tech support asked me the
rev of the MSI.exe. I put in the CD and cancelled installation so I
could browse it. During the interval between inserting CD and
cancelling, It had installed the installer and overwritten the dll again
with the trucated version.

This is a piece of crap.

Much worse than that, when I first tried to install Pub, I go message
that the installer had failed. System would not restart. Had to install
NT on another drive, import the hive from the failed NT and fix it. Once
I got it restarted, screen was wobbling all over and several other
items. I then imported the backup reg which had all the stuff in it from
Pub97 which Pub2000 had removed and fix all that. Still some problems
that I expect MS to tell me how to fix.

Best
