GDML is the original "programming" language which came with IB, it is
NOT a separate product.

If "G" in "GDB" stood for "Groton" as is Groton Database Systems (the
original creators of IB), then GDML should mean something like "Groton
Data Manipulation Language".

Where can you find you more about GDML? That's a good question, not
much is now available (was replaced with the "better" SQL language) the
archives for this list as well as the MERS list server might be able to
help you out.
