A graphical client and some developement tools for Linux would
be nice. There is work being done on GUI database clients for both the
Gnome and KDE desktops. The KDE version has a plugin based architecture
and currently supports the following databases via plugins

MySQL
Oracle
Sybase
Informix

There are plans to extend this to a more full featured development
