Hi everybody
Thank you for your replies : Robert, Jason and Rob. This mailling list is great
Robert (Wagner) , can you give me more informations regarding your bug « Interbase Hang »? and the final IBXE3 Patch you’re apply ?
http://docwiki.embarcadero.com/InterBase/XE3/en/Readme#Resolved_Defects
Maybe INTB-1331 ? in Interbase XE3 Update 3
Rob : I think I will try your solution as soon as possible because it’s quite easy to implement it. « Force Port » in the string connection , maybe a solution ????
Regards,
Gilles.

Hi all
Just a suggestion, perhaps this is not an IBO issue. We used to have
the same problem with our software. The issue was that we were using
events and the Firewall was blocking these. For some reason when an
event was triggered and blocked all our FB users froze. The simple fix
was to specify a remoteAux port in FB server and open that port in the
firewall. I know you are using IB but I suspect it is the same issue.
We encountered this issue years ago.
Thanks
Rob
