When in Delphi /Design time/ the exe is the IDE. Therefore, copy the new nice dll to where the bds.exe (the IDE) is run from. The IBO design time stuff is run by the IDE so there might be an FB2.5 dll somewhere in the path.

I have FB2.5 and FB3.0 and use the FB3.0 dll *everywhere*. I connect to 2.5 on 3050 and 3.0 on 3051. This works for med both runtime and designtime. And i have never changed any client library things in IBO.
