Hello:

What is the best way to trap a bad internet connection for a TCP/IP
connection in IB_Connection. I notice that there is no time out property
per se?

I use a local HD Firebird DB for most the program's work, but I do store
some things on an internet server's DB for special group work. If the
connection is not made, the program continues normally, and if it does
connect then when appropriate data is sent to the IP address.
