If you are the only user of the database then SQLite will be fine. As the SQLite
site says ... "Think of SQLite not as a replacement for Oracle but as a
replacement for fopen()". Firebird is very much a free replacement for Oracle so
each has their place.

And following on from Helen's comment, I'd be interested to know where you were
directed incorrectly in http://www.firebirdsql.org/en/reference-manuals/
although I would probably accept that manuals covering just SQL are probably
lite, referring to the SQL standard instead.
