All,
I have recently placed a new release in all IBO 4.x download areas.
I have also included this download in the http://community.ibobjects.com
web-site.
This version has become stabilized so now would be a very good time to start
testing if you have not already been doing so and would like to.
I am merely working out the finishing touches on things.
Also, I have been doing the development work for IBO 5.x, which is also very
near release. These two versions have in many respects grown together. Thus,
the work I have done in the IBO 4.9.13 branch has actually been the efforts
intended for the major release of IBO 5.0.
I actually have a beta version of IBO 5.x available for those who would like
to be early adopters. The only difference at this point right now is I have
totally reorganized everything into sub-folders and created new package
files for all of the versions of CPPB/Delphi from version 5 all the way up
to the most recent beta of XE (2012).
I also have been working with volunteers to port IBO to FPC/Lazarus and we
are making very good progress. All those who are interested in working with
this port should please contact me privately. I can arrange for you to have
(read-only) access to the SVN repository we are using for this effort.
Also, a reminder, please take all outstanding bugs you are aware of and
enter them into the new bug tracking system I have had installed. It is
accessed here: http://community.ibobjects.com:8080/mantis (You will need to
make a new and separate account there from your community.ibobjects.com
account.)
All the best in your development efforts!
Regards,
Jason Wharton
