we have already done this.

it is as simple as installing firebird on linux.
copying GBK file into linux folder.

running gbak command line.

all done that is simple.

only 1 requirement that is the GBK file is in the same computer as the GDB file.

or even use IBOConsole to restore the backup from a windows client.
