I'm trying to find out how often the IB_Connection.KeepConnection
property sends out pings to Firebird. I could not find it listed in
any of the documentation.

Does anyone know what the frequency of the KeepConnection pings are?

I'm also interested in finding out what the group uses to determine
when a connection to firebird is lost and connect back to it without
the application blowing up first.
