Fair enough!

Yes, but I am keeping up with WIN32 only.

I need to cross some hurdles surrounding my current time and money
constraints before I can begin in earnest to port to dot net.

For the most part IBO is feature complete so my focus is to keep it as
stable as possible while keeping up to date with both Firebird and
InterBase.

Some features I want to get in are better handling of client-side
datasets
with client-side record sorting and better handling of international
character sets. I also want to have better off-line data management such
that connections can be disconnected and reconnected without the data
access
components getting errors and this will also enable better handling of
connection/network errors.

There are of course many visual controls I can continue to enhance on
the
visual side of things and a lot of niggles here and there with some of
the
grids that need some work.

One thing that really stands out as well is I need higher quality
documentation for some of IBO's lesser known capabilities. There is a
lot
in IBO that goes unused because most programmers don't venture into the
interface of the components and snoop around and look in code to make
use of
things.

Yes, I am currently working on the next release.

I decided I would work on any Firebird 2.1 issues so I am reviewing this
prior to the release. For the past couple of years my average between
releases has gone to months instead of weeks. I remember when it used to
be
days.

Much of this trend is due to IBO being more stable but it is also due to
some personal issues that make it harder for me to spend as much time
with
IBO as I used to. These issues are not permanent and I long for their
resolve so that I can spend more time coding.

Thanks for asking!
