Sorry for being so sluggish on this. My IBO is 4.6.A. In IB_Grid.pas
the lines:
if not PositionControl( Col, Row, CellRect( Col, Row )) then
SysUpdateEditor;
was added in the end of procedure TIB_CustomGrid.CMEnter. I think it
was added as a means to ensure that the color coding for an empty
dataset was enforced having embedded controls. I see no other good way
of making my users distinguish between an empty row (or even a row
where the first column is empty) and an empty grid were they will have
to insert a record in some cases. Sure - with a non too complex setup
of columns they just have to start to type, but that does not go for
all setups. I have som additions in SysDataChange of the controls too,
but that probably has to do with color coding.
Try commenting out these lines. If they have been removed in your
version and you have a newer one, well, the I don't know.
