Personally I've not bothered with the move to BDS2006 - from Builder6 it
is apparently even more of a mission :(
Check where IBO is located and then check THAT path is included in the
Include and Library paths in the samples before compiling them.
keeping them in line with later versions is a bit of a pain. Not least
because as Helen has indicated Borland is not very consistent at using
the same defaults from version to version and once you change something
the defaults are just not followed.
though we tried to get tings sorted, but I'm sure that
employers do not want to have to rebuild their entire system, so the
samples are left to other people to update. But I do believe that unlike
Builder, the samples will be converted to BDS2006 when opened in it. We
have had discussions in the past about the samples, but no one has had
the time to build copies of each one for each version of both Delphi and
Builder :( In any case building a copy for every possible version that
IBO runs on would probably require 10 install packages in much the same
way TMS supplies 8 and ESBPCS 7 for the smaller range of versions they
supports ;)
I know this is not ideal, but you do have a version of IBO that will
allow YOU to do your own code and play with it.
