Ramil has completed a hotfix with 28 fixes encompassing four units to
address some known problems that showed up in his changes to add
support for Firebird 2.0 changes. Registered users who want to try
this out, please contact me privately for a URL. Trustware users
know where to go to pick this up.
Jason is due to return to civilisation sometime this week, so I
expect he will announce something a bit more organised as a
follow-up, probably another sub-release with details in the release
notes. For now, for those interested, Ramil has provided a trace
document from which you can track the fixes. It is in the kit with
the amended PAS files.
I found that I could not "hot-install" these units so I did a more or
less clean install, viz. using Components|Install Components|Remove
on all of the IBO packages and deleting the BPL files. (I didn't
bother to delete the DCP and DCU files and it was OK).
I did a complete rebuild from the BPG file, followed by an Install on
each DT package. So far, I haven't tested anything. We should all
treat this hotfix as testing material - run it through all the
projects that you had failures with before and promptly report any
problems back to the list, where Ramil will be watching out for them.
