So you have CachedUpdates switched on? (not sure how I don't use it ;) )
I'd normally be edit/post/commit which works fine, some one else will
have to fill in any detail on CachedUpdates

p.s. I think the odd list user gets problems with receiving emails, if
it persists then they get disabled until they sort it out - I'll check
if I get a bounce message from this ;)
