Is there any reason why IB_Query should not return a complete result set

I have IB_Query (SQL: Select * from OSTrip) connected to an IB_Grid.

This is the second time in the last six months that users call to say
that a record is not found in the grid. However runnung the same SQL
in IBConsole for example shows the missing record.

There are no filters in IB_Query, the query is simple and should not
cause any problems. OSTrip is a view.
