I think we are all grown up enough on this list to tolerate a certain level
of this kind of rubbish. I much prefer the fluidity of conversation we can
all enjoy here without any moderation being a burden to anyone.

However, what could work is allowing new members to join and have them join
in a moderated state and then upon detecting their first legitimate email go
ahead and take them off of moderation. This way we should catch this kind
of garbage and minimize the amount of overhead.

Is it also possible these can be stricken from the archives?
