Thanks for the info. I'm currently not playing with the readonly property.
The text doesn't even show so it's almost like the control lost it's data
field assignment. I'm about ready to re-write the screen using TDataset
access and controls.

Happened to me once when I accidentally changed the wrong object
'Read-Only'.
