In concept if you need to support multiple databases you would be required to use something like ADO. I highly doubt it
would be your best choice but I don't know enough about your situation. I just know my experience with the ADO
components was nauseating.

Thats the thing he didn't. He just feels ADO is what we should be
using because ADO can connect to anything I guess. So if we wanted
to support other databases, it wouldn't be as bad adjusting using
ADO compared to using IBO.
