This is really a Firebird question, you may get more answers in the
Firebird support NG.
That said, I don't think there are many gotcha's, but here's two:
1. Ambiguous queries will not be accepted (always use aliases everywhere
with joins).
2. You may not be able to backup+restore _back_ to IB/6 after using Fb/1.5
Maybe there are some advice in the ReleaseNotes.
