Did you try it in "single user mode" ?

Right. If the problem is in an app you'll need to fix it - the only
permanent solution.
If it was just a rollback, there's not a lot to fix in the app :-) But a
'single user mode' sweep might fix the current gap - and it wouldn't bite
you until next time ...
