Helen,
Sorry, Sorry.....
(I will not be allowed/able to run the Firebird
DB until it at least goes to 1.5 stable. I would like
to use it but would have to change over many apps on
many computers, and I am the only one that is capable
of doing so, no one else to help 40 computers, 15-20
different apps/databases)
Anyway, The Hosts file only has one entry in it,
127.0.0.1
The Services file does not have any entry for gds_db.
But neither do any of the others.

No firewall running on the PC. (That I know of, but
there is nothing in the Prog Manager showing unusual)
