Hi again,
I need to be able to parse out a UNC specified
filename for a database to get the server and
its drive letter so that IB/FB will not object.
The path has been arrived at using TOpenDialog
and a *.GDB mask. For self-installed installations
I nedd to be able to allow persons that are not
very computer literate to be able set up their
applications using IB/FB.
I have searched for several days trying to find
a routine and have only gotten it down to being
able to convert standard file path to UNC. I found
a routine ScUNCFromLocalPath but it resides in
MAPIUTILS/H which, using D5 Ent, I have no access
to. Can someone potin me in the right direction
or even give me the _map_?
(Sorry if I have reposted. I think my last messages
may not have gone through)
Thanks again,
Steve Fields
