I am pleased to report that a new server is up and running, and the basic
software has been installed and all previous message/news archives have been
recovered. In fact, the server is again publicaly available.

The news/mail mirror functionality, however, is not quite ready/working,
some issues still need to be worked out.

Accordingly, I would ask everyone to **please refrain from using the news
server** until all issues have been worked out.

A notice will be posted when the server is completely ready for use.
