Morning all, (Evening Helen!)
it's not such a well known fact, but Windows will correctly connect to a
database if you use the Unix path separator char (/) instead of (\). It
works under IB_SQL too. Notepad etc all handle the 'wrong' path separators
quite happily - try start | run then type 'notepad c:/temp/test.txt'
(assuming you have that file !) and see how it 'just works'.
It's a sort of well kept secret in Windows development.
Cheers,
Norman.
