Hi,
I've tested it with Interbase SS and with Firebird on the same Red-Hat 8.0,
and either Interbase or Firebird hangs when I register events.
I think the problem is linux configuration. From Red-Hat 7.2, there is a new
service XINETD, that reemplace old INETD, and I think there could be the
problem. With interbase I had to make a ibase file on /etc/xinetd.d to
register the service. With Firebird, it uses INTED, and I didn't make the file.
But, I'm not sure it could be. I think it's a configuration problem of Linux,
but I don't know how to resolve it. I have disabled all firewall with
gnome-lokkit, and add lines on hosts files to allow users connections, but the
problem still be.
