Is it possible to do use non paramatised queries on UNICODE_FSS varchar
fields once you have stored the content using the TIB_Query AsWideString
function.

I need to use STARTING WITH and BETWEEN but it doesn't work if there is
more than one character even if it is in english. When you look at the
unicode_fss data in any Interbase/Firebird tool it only displays the
first character. I have assumed this is normal for data stored as
unicode_fss but was told on the firebird support list that they haven't
had a problem with it.

Any suggestions really appreciated.
