Do you have Msvcp60.dll on the machine? Look in Firebird's \bin dir.

windows\system folder? the %system% dir on win98 is \windows, I believe.

Also, read the file in the /doc subdir named
README.Win32LibraryInstallation.txt. It's ok to have the gds32.dll in the
%system% dir but fbclient.dll has to be in the \bin subdir of the fb
installation

'Course, you just might be the bad luck guy who's first to field test RC7
on Win98. The client bits and bobs changed a lot between RC6 and RC7.
