Hi
Does anyone have any experience doing field level
replication in IBO?
I'm looking to design an application with a large
number of records that get transmitted to
intermittently-connected clients (who have local
Firebird databases). The records can be edited at both
the "host" database and the "client" databases. When
the clients connect to the "host" system, the edited
fields should be compared with the host records to
determine whether to update to log a version conflict.
etc, etc. Standard replication stuff, but at a field
level, not a row level.
* What combination of facilities does IBO provide to
support this?
* What experiences have members of this list had in
implementing such a scheme with IBO/Firebird?
