thanks for the info - I've never had a problem with TRichEdit myself, I was
helping Marco with some tests - but at least we have a workaround now.

There's a bug (one of many) in TRichEdit. If you send text directly to
a rich edit (using paste or .lines.add()) then it hits a size limit.
