My problem is I have neither operating systems so I am limited in what I can
do.
What I can do is isolate the source change that works and use some flag that
detects the OS and revert to the code that I know works with W9x.

Ideally I would like a few people who are familiar with both problems being
dealt with here to assist and prove that all issues are resolved.
