When I try and connect to a database running on a W2K server machine,
I get an error connecting to password database, with the following
message:

An InterBase error has occurred while attaching.
Error - operating system directive CreateFile failed
The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-
mapped section open.

InterBase Communication Test Failed!

The server is acting as a web server, but I have stopped the
webserver to make sure there are no isapi dlls holding it open.

Would anybody have any ideas?

The unusual thing is that the isapi apps appear to be able to work
fine.
