Hi all,
good news for those of you who have older IBO apps out there
waiting to be switched to Firebird, but don't have the 3rd
IBPhoenix CD:
Today Paul Beach uploaded the 821 snapshot build to sourceforge. See
attached below a quote of his message in IBDI@yahoogroups.
Notes:
- You only need this build when you have old IBO apps that produce the
"insert into tbl (tbl.col)" syntax, which is rejected by FB 1.0
build 796. (read the thread "FYI: new IBPhoenix CD contains
"IBO-friendly" Firebird build" dated 2002-05-14 in this list for
more details). Build 821 allows this syntax, thus making it possible
to use old IBO apps with Firebird.
- using build 821 is *not* necessary when you can recompile your apps with a
newer IBO version, as Jason fixed the issue in the 4.2Gb release.
- FB build 821 is *not* an official release. See here for the whole story
including some IMPORTANT notes by Paul Reeves:

(hope i put it all together right, if you find anything wrong there please
let me know!)
regards,
fingerman

We have uploaded the snapshots, but not 'released' them, so they don't show
up on the official downloads page.
At the moment we are not sure whether these changes should show up as an
"official" release.
Comments? As to how we release them and where?
