The latest versions of IBO (and IB_SQL) have metadata extract
component that seems to be pretty good (in my biased opinion, since
it was partly written by me :-).

To compare two databases I would run the metadata extract on each
database and save it to file - then run Scooter Software's "Beyond
Compare" program against those files to discover the differences.

If I needed to try and synchronise two databases I would use the
differences discovered above to build manual scripts/processes - since
I doubt the capability of any software to be able to automatically
perform anything other than very minor structural changes.

To aid this upgrade processing I would use my DBak program, but
thats just more bias in my recommendations ;-)
