My thanks to Svein Erling Tysvær and Helen Borrie for responding faster than
I have. Their suggestions were instructive and got me to think a bit more
about the problem. Eventually, I earned the EOF award that often I win for
making such prized errors in SQL. EOF? Ah, egg on face.

I will not further embarass myself except that the error was the common
garden error of Select count(*) from Table A, Table B, the result is a
cartesian product and thus......
