Hi!

Will I have problems using TIBOQuery with TStringField's and TIBBCDField's ?
I'm asking this because the TIBStringField and TIBBCDField classes were created to allow the access to the full size of varchar/char data types, in case of TIBStringField. I think the same might happen with TIBBCDField.

After all, these 2 classes (TIBStringField and TIBBCDField) were created for some reason.

Found in Delphi's Help :
"TIBStringField allows for strings in excess of 8196 bytes of data."

How does IBO handle this if it still uses TStringField ?
