I think the first time the tibotable is opened some (or all) of the
metadata for the database is retrieved. I saw this same behavior when
I did a practice conversion from bde to ibobjects with my
application. My suggestion is to either use tiboquerys instead of
tibotables or go to the native components (like I am doing).
