To save repeating work, have you thought about setting these in the IB_Connection? There you can set them globally; and then you only need to set them explicitly in the dataset object if you want something different to your global settings. You can set them at domain-level there, as well...

My guess is - probably not. Each of the Fieldsxxx properties supports only one Field attribute (for many columns), whereas the ColumnAttributes provides many attributes for many columns...I think it would colossally cumbersome to try and split those out.
