The GSG cost money because Jason had to contract
a technical writer. So he's selling it to pay for the actual costs.

That is so unfortunate. And despite everything I have already made
myself available to do this for Jason for free - with the dubious "luxury"
of having had the experience to have "come from the bottom".

No matter how good one's development is the acid test (and great
leveller) is always to have a total novice try one's development. You
will surely have discovered the amazing things they can do with it!
Things you never intended - or even thought were possible!!

Hey, calm down, this is a great support forum, let's keep it peaceful.
O.K. Perhaps I have been a bit harsh.

I'll try another "more graceful" and "tactful" approach henceforth. Which
would be a lot easier if everyone would also try to COMMUNICATE better and
take NOTHING for granted - when passing on of their vast knowledge.

Helen is complementing Jason's work in a brilliant way, she's
indispensable. She can answer pretty much all questions, and she
does wonderful website work.

I would be the first to acknowledge that I have sensed this and support these
notions. At the same time (and with the greatest of respect to her) she reminds
me of my 32-year-old son. Who is also in IT - and is like a "nutty professor". And
imagines everyone simply "knows" what he is talking about - whilst easily drifting
off into complex and pure code.

Which can be very frustrating - and disasterous for mere mortals.

I guess you took it a bit stronger than it was meant anyway.

I am man enough to admit - having looked at it again - that I screwed up. That
she indeed did NOT mean to be as offensive as I first took it to be.

AND I APOLOGZE HELEN!!!

Once you really get IBO going, you'll see how it was worth it!
I sure as Hell hope so! I have hung in here so long now - it better be!!

Because of all her hard work supporting IBO I'll gladly accept a snappy
remark or two from her. I guess you took it a bit stronger than it was meant
anyway.

On this list, pretty much all people are treated equally, and normally quite
respectfully. You'll get the fastest imaginable answers to any questions
here, for free! If you don't want free support, you might want to ask Jason
for a support contract. Of course this list is always faster, because we
have active members in all time zones here. There's so many IBO users and
contributors here, please don't punish Jason if anybody says something
seemingly inappropriate.

Once you really get IBO going, you'll see how it was worth it! I agree that
using IBO should be made easier for new users, and the Getting Started Guide
should be free.
