The ability to supress totally is ok and
the normal behavior should be that scrollbars only visible if necassary.

The reason is because there are aspects of it interwoven with other
considerations.
Notice the TDBGrid doesn't publish it either.

What I could do is offer the ability to suppress them totally. Isn't that
what you are trying to do anyway?
