It wasn't quite as simple as I thought.
I found out that the TCustomGrid does some really weird stuff tinkering
around with the FScrollBars variable that was tripping up my logic on top of
it. I have isolated its odd behavior and made mine more reliably depend upon
it.
I had to hook into a message and set a flag during the messages execution to
ignore taking action on a message that happens as a result of it. It is the
CMShowingChanged message.
Anyway, the next sub-release should now have a permanent fix for the
disappearing grid act.
Thanks for all patience and tolerance of my inability to resolve this sooner
than now.
Thanks also to all those who have worked hard to assist me in fixing this
issue.
