Let's continue... After the explanation I got about the diferences
between IBO 3 / 4 password storage, could I suggest:
Option 3)
Return to old method (used by IBO 3). The old method fails just when
the programmer forgots to remove this in the final version.
This method as a good advantage: if it's ok, don't touch.
I really don't like Option 1) because of the registry thing... I
don't like a Delphi Component to work with "my" registry, putting my
password on it. If I have to do something on a client machine, I
don't want to "keep in mind cleaning the registry". Also, there is
the problem Lester spoke with me about: developers that use more than
one machine.
And I really don't like Option 2) because I don't think there is the
need to complicate something that could be simple.
Could this option 3) be on the survey?
