I already have all my code converted to load the default
password 'manually' so I am not bothered by what is decided
- except for development.

So - Option 1 would be fine by me, and would help with
development as I run between three machines, and currently
have a problem when I switch between laptop and main machine
or work on site.

Option 2 looks 'complete' and now is the time to implement
it - it would certainly round out the front end security -
even if the back end is no good.
