Hi Bill!

Since no-one seems to have answered you, I guess I can try (though the main
benefit from me answering will probably be to remind Geoff and Jason about your
problem).

You write about connections and queries, but what about your transactions? I
know nothing about threads, but assume that they do not remove the need for
transactions. And if you have them, do you explicitly call commit or do you have
AutoCommit set to true? Do you call StartTransaction at all (not saying that you
should, I never make such calls)? The error message seems to indicate that it is
trying to commit a transaction that has not been started.
