With all your messages, I for one am confused about what your problem is. If you are using IB 4.x, CommitRetaining and RollbackRetaining are implemented in IBO to *look* like soft commits and rollbacks, since IB 4.x doesn't support CommitRetaining. I don't know if this helps to explain your problem (whatever it is! :) )
