As soon as I remove the comments in the ORDER BY, then it starts working
correctly. So I really presume it has something to do with the ORDER BY
parsing.

That is what I figured. If what you say is true, then IBO is the first tool
that dislikes the 1=1 syntax.

Let's wait on what Jason has to tell about this.
