The problem is with TIB_LookupCombo, if I use the units IBC_ComboBox.IMP and .INT of the 4_2.Ea, the problem solve.

Yes, Delphi 6 running on W2K with SP2.
I haven't had the time to investigate but I think the problem shows up where
I have frames with datasets and controls and I then use those frames within
other frames. Delphi simply crashes when either the application is run or
the form with the frame within a frame is displayed in the development
environment.. I have tried doing a complete reinstall of IBO4.2Eb and the
problem remains. Going backwards by doing a complete reinstall of IB4.2Ea
is fine so it is pretty clear it is something introduced by 4.2Eb. I will
get more time over the the next couple of days so I will look at it further
but I "think" it is related to the TIB_LookupCombo. I use the word think
because I haven't proved it yet so it may not be correct. Some work was
done on the lookup combi in version 4.2Eb but it is dangerous to guess. I
am however pretty sure that the problem is something introduced into 4.2Eb.
